Strategy, guidance and motivation
When I was hired as Loek's manager back in 2016, he had just finished part of a group of experts, one of the most significant projects at Vodafone at that time. A multichannel environment for direct sales channels. Together, we created new abstract goals around the future of retail and sales based on the challenges we were facing with a good customer experience.
When Loek gets his hands on a challenge, you end up feeling sorry for the challenge; he tears down the bigger problem, creates strategy and guidance, and motivates each person on any level to start looking forward.
Loek created and implemented a couple of Omnichannel capabilities from scratch and never gave up, even while facing considerable challenges in the process.

A partner and strategic thinker
I worked with Loek at ECCO Shoes, where I was responsible for the wholesale and retail technology agenda, and he was responsible for the global Omnichannel strategy and business execution.
Loek was a true thought partner and strategic thinker who gets quickly to the core and drives the right decisions with his stakeholders. With his energy and drive, multiple Omnichannel releases went live in the US, Canada and Australia, delivering critical business value during a tough (C-19) period where many of the retail stores were closed or partially closed.
Loek proactively identifies opportunities and quickly prioritises the right things, so that they are delivered quickly to drive customer and business value. It has been a pleasure to work with Loek as my sparring partner. I recommend Loek for any strategic digital and Omnichannel leadership positions in large, global organisations.

Thought leadership and skills
